White Spaces in India?

Here’s a really nice post by Giga Om that discusses what white spaces are all about. I wonder if something like this is possible in India.

A 50 times increase in broadband speed!

A company in New Zealand has designed a new product that, they say, will increase internet speeds by up to 50 times.

The kicker is that this can be done over existing infrastructure without any substantial increase in cost.
